How enterprises participating in this new path can utilize this platform to expand their international business has become a core issue in their own growth. Taking Otis as an example, this paper discusses in depth the internal mechanism of multinational enterprises’ international market expansion under the framework of the new platform for international economic cooperation, centering on the identification of international market opportunities and the selection of entry strategies. The study finds that participating firms identify international expansion opportunities through preliminary and in-depth market analysis. The new platform for international economic cooperation encourages firms to prefer the “sole proprietorship” approach to enter new markets, because it facilitates access to complementary resources in the host country and transfers the firm’s unique strengths effectively.
